Hike Rating

EASY:
Flat, or almost entirely flat, on a paved or hard packed trail.

FAIRLY EASY:
Mostly flat or gentle slopes. Trails are varied and possibly muddy in places.

EASY MODERATE:
Combination of an “easy” and a “moderate” hike.

MODERATE:
Trails have hills and may have exposed roots and be rocky and/or muddy.
Hikers should be in good physically condition with some hiking experience. Solid foot wear and suitable clothing is recommended

MODERATE PLUS:
Have more/steeper hills that “moderate” hikes. Trails often have exposed roots, loose rocks and mud. Hikers should be in good physically condition with some hiking experience. Solid foot wear and suitable clothing is recommended

Hikers planning on participating in a HNWTA sponsored hike and take full responsibility for themselves. If you have any questions about the hike please contact HNWTA at least 72 hours prior to hike. Hikes are intended for bipedal participant.

Do not go to the trailhead without first checking with the leader of the hike. In some cases, the hike may be changed due to weather conditions or other factors.
